Last night I rented Wristcutters: A Love Story starring the extremely adorable Patrick Fugit. I really enjoyed this dark comedy because it had a unique storyline and sweet ending. It's about a guy who kills himself and spends his time in purgatory looking for his ex-girlfriend, who also committed suicide. Very dark, yet very interesting and charming. Highly recommend this quirky comedy.

I recently purchased Toi et Moi (You and Me) and I really enjoyed watching it the other day. It is a very cute French romatic comedy about two sisters and their awkward love lives. It is not the greatest movie, but it is certainly sweet and entertaining. I recommend it if you ever come across it.

(Not Rated...but I'd give it a PG-13)

Tonight I saw What Happens In Vegas and I actually really liked it. It was extremely funny and entertaining. Good date movie because it's not a super mushy chick flick. Ashton Kutcher is very adorable and the movie has a very original and awkwardly funny plot. Cameron and Ashton don't have great chemistry, but the movie still works nicely. Highly recommend it if you're in the mood for a good romantic comedy!

I recently rented A Very Long Engagement after reading that Marion Cotillard received the Cesar award for best supporting actress (for her total of 8 minutes screen time) in this drama. While her acting was superb (and I'm not being biased because she's currently my favorite actress), I found the movie to be very boring. I like Audrey Tautou, but I found her character to be irritating, the plot was slow and confusing, and the ending was not what I wanted. I was also very surprised to see Jodie Foster make an appearance in this French film. Don't recommend it unless you're extremely bored....

I watched Not Another Teen Movie last night for about the tenth time. It's extremely obscene and disgusting but it's just so freaking hilarious that I can't help but love it. Totally cheesy and terrible, it makes a mockery of pretty much every 'teen' movie from The Breakfast Club to She's All That, with random cameos from stars like Mr. T and Melissa Joan Hart. It completely crosses every line and I always emerge from the movie feeling like I have no dignity whatsoever, yet it never fails to win my heart with its wickedly funny dialog.  Not for everyone, but it sure as hell cracks me up every time I see it.

I just finished watching Tim Burton's Big Fish. After watching La Vie En Rose again the other night, I cannot get enough of Marion Cotillard! So I checked out her filmography and found out she had a small part in this film (made in 2003) and figured I'd check it out, since it's always peaked my interest anyway. It was fantastic! Beautiful story that made me cry as well as smile. With the amazing imagery, it allows the viewer to peak inside the mind of the incredible Tim Burton. I can't believe I waited this long to see it! Highly recommend this, good family movie.

A few days ago I watched Love Me, If You Dare (Jeux d'enfants), starring Marion Cotillard and real-life boyfriend Guillaume Canet. This French comedy was recommended to me by a friend. It had a very cute, yet insanely crazy stoyline. The ending is up for interpretation, and the characters are out of the ordinary. Visually beautiful and interesting, and the chemistry between Marion and Guillaume is amazing. Not for everyone, but I enjoyed it.

Last night I saw Iron Man. I didn't really want to see it, but went with some friends and figured I'd give it a try. Well, it was definately worth the hour-long wait outside the theater because it was fantastic! Who knew Robert Downey Jr. could be convincing as a superhero? Fantastic special effects, visually stunning, and action-packed. I definately recommend it!

Out on DVD today, 27 Dresses is a very funny and adorable romantic comedy. I am a huge fan of Katherine Heigl, and she is actually very funny in this! I managed to see it twice while it was out in theaters, and will probably end up buying it. What can I say? I'm a sucker for chick flicks!

The first time I can across A Good Year, I didn't watch the entire thing. My parents had it on, and I just wasn't very interested. Then, a few weeks later I stumbled across it on HBO and decided to give it another chance. It's not fantastic, but it's very cute. Russell Crowe's wardrobe in the movie is very irritating to me, but aside from that he is very good. Great soundtrack with lots of  cool French music. If you've seen La Vie En Rose, you'll get a chance to see what the gorgeous Marion Cotillard really looks like! Charming movie, good rental.

Although I have heard that the book is much better, The Other Boleyn Girl memorized me. Natalie Portman's portrayal of Anne Boleyn is definitely a performance to remember. I was a big fan of Anne of The Thousand Days (made in 1969), and the story has always peaked my interest. I thought this was a completely breathtaking movie, and I saw it twice while it was playing in theaters. Just a note: the story focuses much more on Anne and not as much on her sister Mary, as the film is advertised. Still, I completely loved every minute of this juicy age-old story.
