I saw Shutter in theaters a few weeks ago. Despite the fact that most current scary movies are extremely lame, I always have to see them with secret hopes that they might actually be good. This however, was exactly what I expected...LAME. Joshua Jackson was terrible, and quite frankly once you've seen one of these terrible Americanized Japanese horror flicks, you've seen
them all. Don't recommend it unless you want a good laugh.

(Rated PG-13)

I'm a sucker for these cheesy movies. Superhero Movie was actually better than the trainwreck I expected it to be. I only wish Regina Hall could have been in it more...she cracks me up but only had a very small cameo. Extremely stupid humor, and if you're a fan of the Scary Movies 3&4 (the Waynes Brothers did the first 2 which had a not as terribly stupid feel), you'll get a kick out of this.

(Rated PG-13)

I was definately a bit disappointed with Stop-Loss. I thought that the second half of the movie was pretty lame compared to the first half, which was very intense and good. Aside from the obvious man-candy, the movie had potential to be great, but I ended up just not really caring for it. I sympathized with Ryan Phillippe, but I just didn't really connect with any of the characters. Eye-opening and sad, but just not as great as it could have been.

(Rated R)
